Job Description: Software Development Senior Manager
As a Software Development Senior Manager within Oracle's Networking organization, you will lead a critical team supporting the VNICaaS platform. This platform is integral to powering many of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure's (OCI) most essential network functions.
You will lead a team responsible for rapidly growing the platform as OCI grows while maintaining the stability that is required of a Tier 0 service. You will work with our largest internal and external customers to build features necessary for their growth. You will balance the challenges of growth, stability, and feature expansion in order to prioritize OCI's networking business growth.
Responsibilities
- Manage a team supporting the VNICaaS platform, ensuring its rapid growth while maintaining Tier 0 stability.
- Lead platform expansion as OCI scales, addressing the needs of internal and external customers.
- Balance growth, stability, and feature development to prioritize OCI's networking business objectives.
- Stay informed about emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation and compliance.
- Set the technical direction for the team, fostering a culture of excellence.
- Coach, mentor, and develop top talent within the software development team.
- Establish and stimulate high software development standards, processes, and best practices.
- Define new Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to aid decision-making and prioritization.
- Set clear goals and expectations for performance, collaborating with employees to establish measurable commitments.
