About the role
Software Developer
As a member of the Data Services division at Oracle, you will apply advanced knowledge of databases and storage systems architecture to perform software development tasks. This includes developing, debugging, and designing software platforms and applications according to provided design specifications. You will build enhancements, new components, and new services, and suggest improvements to architecture, operational practices, scalability, and resiliency.
Key Responsibilities
- Work with Architects and business stakeholders to deliver new features, services, and improvements.
- Perform on-call operations duties on a rotating basis.
- Debug operational issues and suggest fixes to raise the operational bar and scalability of service(s).
- Champion the effective use of AI and GenAI solutions to improve productivity, innovation, and business impact across teams.
- Reimagine service experiences and deliver proof points that improve the service along one or more dimensions (e.g., Operations, Usability, Cost to Serve, Availability).
- Design, develop, troubleshoot, and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, and networks.
Responsibilities as a Software Engineer
As a member of the software engineering division, you will take an active role in defining and evolving standard practices and procedures. You will define specifications for significant new projects and develop software according to those specifications. You will perform professional software development tasks associated with developing, designing, and debugging software applications or operating systems.

US Hiring Range (USD): $96,800 - $306,400 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, as well as to reflect Oracle's differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
