As a Senior Software Engineer, you will join a team of highly intelligent, motivated, and diverse individuals, receiving the autonomy and support necessary to perform your best work. This dynamic and flexible workplace offers a sense of belonging and encouragement.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of distributed cloud engineering experience in a software development environment.
- 3+ years of development experience with Java, Python, and shell scripting.
- 2+ years of development or support experience with Linux/Unix environments.
- 2+ years of experience working in a collaborative, agile development environment, preferably for cloud providers or cloud development companies.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration and delivering under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to all audiences.
Any networking experience is a plus.
Responsibilities
As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with developing, debugging, or designing software applications or operating systems. You will provide technical leadership to other software developers and specify, design, and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet evolving needs.

Paid time off includes Flexible Vacation for salaried employees, or accrued vacation (13 days annually for the first three years, 18 days subsequently for those working at least 35 hours per week). The package also includes 11 paid holidays, 72 hours of paid sick leave (refreshing annually, up to a 112-hour cap), paid parental leave, and adoption assistance. Employees can also participate in an Employee Stock Purchase Plan, financial planning, group legal, and voluntary benefits such as auto, homeowner, and pet insurance.
The US hiring range for this position is from $79,200 to $178,100 per year and may be eligible for bonus and equity. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, as well as differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed within this range based on these factors and internal peer equity.
