About the Role

The Senior Quality Automation Engineer at Oracle will strengthen the quality and reliability of our cloud-native SaaS platform. You will work with developers, DevOps, QA, and Product teams to build and maintain robust automation frameworks, ensure high-quality releases, and continuously improve test coverage in a fast-paced, distributed environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks using Python and Java.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
  • Develop API and backend automation for REST and event-driven services.
  • Collaborate with developers and SRE teams to ensure new features are testable and resilient.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing for cloud-hosted microservices.
  • Utilize logs, metrics, and distributed tracing tools such as CloudWatch, Datadog, and Grafana.
  • Participate in code reviews and test strategy planning during sprint cycles.
  • Evolve QA automation frameworks to support technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.

Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • 2-4 years of hands-on QA automation experience in SaaS or distributed environments.
  • Strong programming skills in Python and Java.
  • Experience with automation frameworks such as Pytest, TestNG, or JUnit.
  • Proven experience testing REST APIs and microservices.
  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (OCI, AWS, Azure, or GCP) and CI/CD tools.
  • Knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, and Agile/Scrum practices.
  • Strong analytical and debugging skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
  • Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (JMeter, Locust).
  • Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, Datadog).
