Overview
The Senior Manager, UX Design at Oracle leads a centralized, high-performing user experience design team supporting multiple OCI product areas. The role focuses on design strategy, operational excellence, and cross-organizational alignment to deliver intuitive cloud experiences at scale.
Responsibilities
- Design Leadership: Guide strategy, execution, and delivery of quality user experiences across OCI products.
- People Management: Mentor and develop designers, provide feedback, and perform evaluations.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with product, engineering, and other teams for seamless design integration.
- Operational Excellence: Manage planning, resource allocation, and ensure efficiency in design output.
- Strategic Influence: Represent design perspectives in senior leadership discussions and roadmap reviews.
- Change Enablement: Facilitate adoption of new design standards including Redwood and AI-driven experiences.
- Quality Assurance: Set and maintain high quality standards for design outputs.
- Recruiting & Talent Development: Attract, hire, and retain top design talent.
Core Qualifications
- 10+ years in UX or Product Design with at least 3 years managing/design-team leadership experience.
- Proven experience in enterprise software or cloud environments.
- Strong communication skills to influence cross-functional and senior leadership teams.
- Experience in managing ambiguity and establishing structured design processes.
- Background in user-centered design, design systems, and accessibility best practices.
- BS or MS in HCI, Design, or related field, or equivalent experience.
