Senior Manager, Data Center Facilities Development
Leads and manages the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards. Supervises multiple project teams, offering strategic direction and resolving any issues that may arise during project cycles. Leads the creation, review, and maintenance of documentation, including design review, commissioning, and problem-solving papers. Leads the management of quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards. Supervises comprehensive site walks and directs the startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects. Addresses gaps in risk identification and mitigation, and communicates potential impacts to senior management. Oversees the primary point of contact role between the company and colocation providers. Leads the selection, negotiation, and management of contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and performance and construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications. Leads the installation of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems.
Key Responsibilities
Construction Project Management-Project Planning and Execution:
- Leads and manages the construction of data centers by colocation providers, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to high-quality standards.
- Develops and maintains detailed project schedules, coordinating with colocation providers to ensure timely milestone delivery.
- Manages project budgets, optimizing resource allocation to ensure cost-effective project execution.
- Supervises multiple project teams, offering strategic direction and resolving any issues that may arise during project cycles.
- Leads the creation, review, and maintenance of documentation, including design review, commissioning, and problem-solving papers, guaranteeing team compliance with standards, effective document management, and the suitability of all materials for their intended purpose.
Construction Project Management-Project Integration and Quality Assurance:
- Leads the management of quality control processes to ensure all construction activities meet design specifications and industry standards.
- Oversees the coordination and integration of tenant fit out projects, ensuring effective communication and addressing challenges during design, construction, and commissioning phases.
- Supervises comprehensive site walks to ensure schedule adherence, coordination, and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
- Directs the startup and commissioning phases of major data center projects, ensuring all systems are operational and meet design specifications.
Risk and Problem Management:
- Oversees the evaluation of risk profiles associated with timely project delivery for multiple projects.
- Addresses gaps in risk identification and mitigation and communicates potential impacts to senior management.
- Develops and oversees the implementation of mitigation strategies for major construction project risks to ensure project success.
Stakeholder and Vendor Management:
- Oversees the primary point of contact role between the company and colocation providers, ensuring clear and effective communication and coordination across multiple teams.
- Develops and maintains strategic relationships to support internal and external stakeholders effectively, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
- Leads the selection, negotiation, and management of contracts with external vendors, contractors, and suppliers, ensuring contract compliance and performance, and overseeing the resolution of significant contract issues.
Design Coordination and Improvement:
- Oversees collaboration with design teams to ensure that construction activities align with the approved design plans and specifications, coordinating across multiple teams.
- Provides strategic colocation provider evaluation input for continuous improvement, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making.
- Leads the installation of power, cooling, networking, and structured cabling systems, ensuring adherence to quality standards and overseeing the resolution of significant installation issues.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $120,100 - $251,600 per year. May be eligible for bonus, equity, and compensation deferral.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

- Paid time off: Flexible Vacation is provided to all eligible employees assigned to a salaried (non-overtime eligible) position. Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
