Job Overview

Oracle is transitioning to cloud-based services and seeks a Senior Datacenter Technician near Amsterdam. In this role, you will be the technical liaison between technology teams and the Data Center Environment, handling troubleshooting, hardware maintenance, and supporting critical operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, operate, rack and stack equipment
  • Perform hardware break & fix and system board level repairs
  • Manage installation, monitoring, support, and optimization of servers
  • Execute commissioning of new rack positions and structured cabling
  • Document hardware support and introduce automation improvements
  • Work on shift rota including standby and travel within EMEA

Required Experience & Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent work experience
  • IT Infrastructure support and server administration in a mid-sized environment
  • Strong structured cabling skills (fibre & copper) and hardware repair expertise
  • Systems administration (Linux/Windows), networking fundamentals and IT Hardware Concepts
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25Kg and work in varied environments
