Role Summary

As a Senior Applied Scientist, you will shape the future of AI at Oracle, emphasizing Large Language Models (LLMs) and Generative AI to deliver state-of-the-art solutions for healthcare and enterprise customers.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with product managers to transform requirements into AI projects.
  • Work with technical leaders for timely model delivery and integrations.
  • Coordinate with multinational teams from research POC to production.
  • Develop healthcare and enterprise features using generative AI and machine learning.
  • Design comprehensive AI solution architectures using best practices.
  • Lead and mentor both junior and senior applied scientists.
  • Develop production code and uphold top engineering practices.
  • Participate in planning, review, and retrospective sessions.
  • Identify and mitigate risks combining business and engineering insights.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Experience in designing and implementing scalable AI models for production.
  • Deep understanding of Machine Learning, Deep Learning, and Transformer architectures.
  • Hands-on expertise with LLM and generative AI technologies and frameworks.
  • Experience in data collection/annotation solutions and evaluation methodologies.
  • Strong publication record and leadership in research projects.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of healthcare and experience with healthcare AI models.
  • Familiarity with advancements in computer vision and multimodal modeling.

Education

PhD in Computer Science or related field with 3+ years experience is preferred; alternatively, a Masters or Bachelor’s with 5+ years relevant experience.
