Overview
The Healthcare IT Project Manager is responsible for leading technology and process improvement projects that support the Laboratory and Pharmacy service lines within MU Health Care and the Tiger Institute at Oracle.
Responsibilities
The Project Manager develops and maintains project documentation including business case requirements, project charters, timelines, communication plans, issue logs, and risk registers. The role requires close collaboration with clinicians, pharmacists, laboratory leaders, IT teams and business stakeholders to define project scope, resources, budgets, and timelines. It also involves vendor coordination for solution assessments, demonstrations, contracting, and implementation.
Key tasks include driving projects through implementation, tracking progress, monitoring risks, and ensuring accountability through timely issue escalation while managing multiple initiatives simultaneously.
