Job Description
Job Description
The Program Manager will manage the schedule and implementation for specific data center projects involving departmental or cross-functional teams focused on delivering new capacity. This role requires strong influencing skills to direct schedules while mitigating risks and blockers. The Program Manager will organize interdepartmental activities, ensuring project completion on schedule.
Projects managed by the Program Manager begin with Delivery Build exiting the planning process and conclude with handover to customers, encompassing all components of the build. This includes project planning, design, material ordering, networking, transportation, build, and handover. The Program Manager manages all these work streams through partners and stakeholders, tracking each and escalating blockers quickly.
The Program Manager must manage a high degree of ambiguity, leading teams through complex problems by breaking down novel technical blockers into systematic and repeatable solutions. Continuous learning and adaptation to new technology requirements are essential.
Responsibilities
- Lead complex technical programs: plan, coordinate, and deliver enterprise-scale modernization or migration programs aligning with OCI's strategic goals.
- Cross-functional collaboration: align and execute initiatives across engineering, product, support, and field teams.
- Stakeholder communication: provide consistent program updates, conduct executive briefings, and manage global field expectations.
- Technical enablement: create and deliver documentation such as program roadmaps, solution guides, and workshops to support global adoption and troubleshooting.
- Metrics & risk management: track KPIs, dependencies, and risk; drive resolution and ensure delivery milestones are met on time and within scope.
- Operational excellence: conduct post-mortems, capture lessons learned, and partner with product and engineering teams to improve future program execution.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of experience in technical program management, solutions architecture, or related leadership roles.
- Proven program delivery experience in cloud infrastructure, database modernization, or large-scale enterprise migration projects.
- Cross-geography experience, coordinating globally distributed teams and stakeholders.
- Technical credibility: familiarity with Oracle Exadata, OCI, Autonomous DB, AWS, or hybrid cloud is highly desirable.
- Excellent communication skills, including delivering executive updates and leading workshops.
- Metrics-driven mindset, balancing delivery, customer satisfaction, and operational outcomes.
