Product Strategy Manager at Oracle

As a Product Strategy Manager, you will be a central resource and driving force for the design, process, manufacturing, test, quality, and marketing of products from conception to distribution within Oracle Health. This role is critical in prioritizing products and features by evaluating business value, feasibility, and user needs, ensuring a strong alignment with Oracle Health's overarching goals and strategy.

You will engage directly with customers, partners, and internal stakeholders to gather market intelligence and identify opportunities for clinical products, with a significant emphasis on Electronic Health Record (EHR) workflows and enhancing the clinician experience. Your contributions will guide teams in developing and validating solutions, supporting the product development and road-mapping processes, and driving delivery excellence.

Collaboration across functions is key to achieving alignment and measurable outcomes. You will advocate for customers, anticipate their needs, and prioritize issues throughout the product lifecycle, gathering feedback to align product capabilities with clinical and operational goals. Additionally, you'll support go-to-market activities, assist early adopters, and track product adoption metrics to optimize user satisfaction.

Minimum Job Qualifications (IC3)

To qualify for this role, candidates must meet one of the following criteria:

  • 8 years of experience in product/service/project/program management, product design, or a related field OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Healthcare Informatics, Clinical discipline, or a related field AND 4 years of experience in product/service/project/program management, product design, or a related field OR
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Healthcare Informatics, Clinical discipline, or a related field AND 2 years of experience in product/service/project/program management, product design, or a related field

Preferred Job Qualifications

Ideal candidates will meet one of the following preferred criteria:

  • 9 years of experience in product/service/project/program management, product design, or a related field OR
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Healthcare Informatics, Clinical discipline, or a related field AND 5 years of experience in product/service/project/program management, product design, or a related field OR
  • Master’s Degree in Engineering, Business, Healthcare Informatics, Clinical discipline, or a related field AND 3 years of experience in product/service/project/program management, product design, or a related field

Product Domain Experience

  • 3 years of experience in the relevant product domain, such as healthcare/clinical software (EHRs, clinical documentation, orders, results review, medication workflows, clinical decision support, interoperability).

Agile Methods Experience

  • 1 year of experience applying agile methodologies and practices (e.g., Scrum framework) to manage work and delivery.

Customer Interaction Experience

  • 2 years of experience in customer interaction, engaging with clinicians, clinical informatics, hospital/health system stakeholders, implementation teams, support, or customer success.

Certification (Preferred)

  • Product management or product domain related certifications (e.g., SAFe Scrum Master Certification, SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager Certification, Project Management Professional Certification, American Production and Inventory Control Society [APICS] Certifications).

Key Responsibilities Breakdown

Product Analysis – Market Analysis:

  • Prioritizes products/features based on evaluations of business value, feasibility, and user needs.
  • Ensures alignment between clinical users, the healthcare market, and Oracle Health goals.
  • Analyzes market trends and competitive landscape for strategic positioning.
  • Engages customers, partners, and internal teams to identify opportunities for clinical/EHR products.

Product Analysis – Solution Identification:

  • Contributes to identifying unmet customer needs, market opportunities, and regulatory requirements impacting clinical workflows.
  • Partners with internal teams to define problem statements for moderately complex products.
  • Drives solution discovery and refinement through collaboration with engineering, UX, clinical SMEs, and other stakeholders.
  • Supports solution evaluation and validation to enhance products/features.
  • Creates, maintains, and reviews solution artifacts like requirements.

Product Ownership – Product Development and Roadmapping:

  • Supports planning, execution, and release processes for products.
  • Contributes to roadmaps for products/features, ensuring alignment with objectives.
  • Develops feature requirements, dependencies, and best practices.
  • Helps drive delivery excellence, identifying and escalating risks/issues with recommendations.
  • Tracks and analyzes metrics (e.g., service requests, bugs) for data-driven decisions.
  • Writes and reviews user stories and acceptance criteria, including clinical safety.
  • Helps determine feature and experience priorities to support OKRs.

Product Ownership – Product Leadership and Influence:

  • Contributes ideas and insights to shape product direction and roadmaps.
  • Guides product improvements for enhanced clinician experience and measurable outcomes.
  • Supports new feature development using agile and continuous-delivery methodologies.

Alignment and Collaboration:

  • Shares insights with partners and supports cross-team alignment.
  • Uses data and customer context to manage stakeholder pushback.
  • Partners with engineering and senior teams for OKR/KPI linked solutions.
  • Supports tracking of success criteria and performance metrics.
  • Helps establish parameters for user testing and product iteration, including clinician feedback.

Customer-Centricity:

  • Serves as a customer advocate throughout the product lifecycle, emphasizing clinician and patient-safety considerations.
  • Actively engages with customers to gather feedback and insights.
  • Works with customers to align Oracle Health products to clinical and operational goals.
  • Captures and analyzes customer requirements for new capabilities.
  • Supports tailoring products during implementations with customer success teams.
  • Reviews and helps prioritize customer issues, coordinating resolutions.

Product Release – Go-to-Market:

  • Contributes to release overviews, presentations, and demos.
  • Supports recruiting and enabling early adopters to validate solutions.
  • Contributes to the development of user documentation.
  • Defines and tracks product adoption metrics, identifying user behavior trends.
  • Supports demos to promote product value.
