Job Description
Principal Technical Program Manager at Oracle
As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will lead the development and implementation process of specific company products. This role involves managing departmental or cross-functional teams focused on the delivery of new or existing products. You will be responsible for planning and directing schedules, monitoring budget/spending, and overseeing projects from initiation through delivery. A key aspect of your role will be organizing interdepartmental activities to ensure project/product completion on schedule and within budget constraints. Additionally, you will assign and monitor the work of systems analysis and program staff, providing essential technical support and direction.
This position requires providing leadership and expertise in developing new products, services, and processes, often operating at the forefront of technology. You will recommend and justify major changes to existing products, services, or processes. Successful candidates typically possess a BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to the functional area, along with ten or more years of project management, product design, or related experience.
Responsibilities
We are specifically seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager who excels at getting things done at scale, particularly within large, cross-functional organizations. You will drive results and move teams towards a unified goal and north star, rather than just facilitating. Possessing high judgment and a 'roll up your sleeves' attitude, you demonstrate a bias for action, strong ownership, and excellent collaboration skills. In this role, you will manage complex, cross-organizational/functional programs impacting both product and business outcomes. You will partner with every team within Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) to bring these programs to fruition, navigating a fun, agile, cross-cutting, and complex environment focused on critical customer programs, requiring significant support, partnership, and alignment.
Candidate Profile
- 6 years of experience developing and implementing strategy, then executing against large, cross-cutting programs.
- Demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically.
- A technology background enabling an understanding of cloud architecture complexities.
- Exemplary maturity, judgment, negotiation/influence skills, analytical skills, and leadership capabilities.
- Ability to work effectively with senior leaders across all of Oracle (engineering to business) to drive core business initiatives.
- Adept at working in ambiguity, diving into problems with your team to create solutions.
- Knowledge of Data Center GPU architecture and operations.
- Familiarity and knowledge of AI workloads and software stacks.
- Experience in a customer-facing role within a tech company; experience with AI and HPC end customers is a significant advantage.
