About The Principal Technical Program Manager Role

This is a unique opportunity to join a rapidly growing, best-in-class team dedicated to engineering groundbreaking Oracle Cloud technologies and infrastructure. As a key member of the Program Management team, you will be continually challenged and have the opportunity to contribute to Oracle Cloud's success daily, working closely with development partners.

As a Principal Technical Program Manager, you will tackle large, complex projects, breaking them down into manageable components, identifying process gaps, and driving their resolution. You will collaborate with management and department leaders, performing various business operations functions, including leading project deliverables, generating communications and presentations, and planning and coordinating meetings. You will drive program schedules from design to launch, communicate effectively with stakeholders and senior leaders, all while gaining a deep understanding of OCI processes and teams to direct cross-functional and cross-service projects.

The ideal candidate is a technical program manager with very strong hands-on project management skills and over 10 years of diverse experience managing the delivery of both software and infrastructure projects. These qualities, combined with affable communication skills, are essential for ensuring the success of our Oracle Cloud customers.

What You'll Do

  • Project Integration: Develop, lead, and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously against aggressive schedules.
  • Scope Management: Take large, complex projects and break them into manageable pieces, driving issues, tracking tasks, and evaluating priorities daily.
  • Quality: Identify process gaps and drive closure to improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity.
  • Communication: Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status from design to launch, issues, and risks to stakeholders and senior and executive management.
  • Risk Management: Lead cross-functional dependencies, risks, and changes efficiently by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources. Gain a deep understanding of OCI processes and teams to anticipate, identify, and mitigate risk with key partners and impacted teams, providing mitigation recommendations as needed.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with management and department leaders, performing business operations functions such as managing project deliverables, generating communications and presentations, and planning and coordinating meetings while driving cross-team and cross-functional activities.
