Principal Financial Analyst Cloud Infrastructure

Are you an expert at dissecting and optimizing the massive cost structures behind global cloud infrastructure? Do you thrive on the intersection of deep technical understanding and complex financial modeling?

We are seeking a Principal Cloud Infrastructure Cost Strategist to take ownership of our infrastructure's financial performance. This role is pivotal in managing and modeling our significant CapEx and OpEx related to cloud environments, data centers, and network operations. You will be the key driver in developing sophisticated cost models that directly inform strategic decisions, major investments, and large-scale client/vendor deal pricing.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cloud Infrastructure Cost Management: Own and drive continuous improvement in the efficiency and cost-effectiveness of our global cloud infrastructure footprint
  • Infrastructure Cost Modeling & Analysis: Develop, maintain, and utilize advanced quantitative models to forecast, analyze, and optimize CapEx, OpEx, and P&L impact related to data center, network, and server infrastructure
  • Strategic Deal Cost Modeling: Provide critical financial and cost-structure insight to inform and model large-scale strategic deals and client agreements, ensuring profitable and competitive pricing based on accurate infrastructure costs.
  • Strategic Advisory: Act as the primary financial and technical advisor on infrastructure investment proposals, capacity planning, and operational efficiency initiatives.

Minimum Skills & Experience

  • A BS/BA in Finance, Accounting, or related field; MBA or relevant advanced degree a plus
  • 8+ years of finance experience within the tech, cloud, or infrastructure sector
  • Advanced Quantitative Modeling: Demonstrated expertise in complex financial and quantitative analysis, specifically applied to infrastructure CapEx, OpEx, and P&L within a large technology organization.
  • Technical Infrastructure Fluency: Strong technical understanding of cloud infrastructure, including data center operations (e.g., experience with AWS, Azure, GCP, or expertise with networking OEMs/providers) and associated network infrastructure considerations.
  • Significant Cost Structure Management: Proven, hands-on experience advising on or managing significant, multi-million dollar cost structures related to technical infrastructure.
  • Strategic Problem Solving: Ability to work independently, manage quickly shifting business priorities, and consistently find solutions amid ambiguity in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $84,500 - $178,100 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.

Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.

Vacation accrual is prorated for employees working between 20 and 34 hours per week. Employees working fewer than 20 hours per week are not eligible for vacation.
