Principal Cloud Architect

Job Description

As a Principal Cloud Architect at Oracle, you will partner with customers, sales, engineering, and product teams to design, demonstrate, and deploy Oracle Cloud architectures that effectively address critical customer business problems. This role is crucial in driving Oracle Cloud customer consumption by accelerating the adoption of Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) services, covering discovery, design, and deployment phases.

Responsibilities

• Engage with strategic customers, building leadership relationships at multiple levels within organizations to design and implement innovative cloud solutions.
• Work directly with customers to gather comprehensive requirements, develop robust architectures, and translate complex business needs into tangible cloud solutions.
• Implement solutions and ensure successful deployments, which may involve code development and scripting.
• Display deep product and application understanding through highly customized presentations and demonstrations to customers, and at key conferences and events.
• Support customers from the Proof of Concept (POC) stage through to production deployment of services, managing resource configuration, planning, and providing essential customer education/training.
• Create and distribute valuable technical assets, including white papers, solution code, blog posts, and video demonstrations.
• Serve as a leading contributor for customers and the sales team on advanced technical cloud solutions and ensuring customer success.
• Identify gaps and suggest enhancements to influence engineering roadmaps, driving the development of customer-driven features.
• Operate as a leading contributor, often providing direction and mentoring to other team members. This work is non-routine and highly complex, requiring the application of advanced technical and business skills in specialized areas.
• Potentially interact with C-level executives, leveraging advanced communication and presentation skills.
• Maintain expertise by continuously staying current on emerging cloud technologies and industry trends.

Qualifications
