About the Role

The Principal Applied Scientist - Multimodal AI at Oracle is responsible for architecting, building, and deploying cutting-edge, high-quality AI models and solutions at scale. Working with world-class scientists, you will delve into Generative AI and contribute to Oracle's mission of powering internal and external solutions.

Responsibilities

• Conduct in-depth research on image and video generation techniques such as diffusion models, GANs, and flow-based models.
• Design, develop and train state-of-the-art image generation models.
• Build and mentor a high-performing team of scientists and engineers.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including software engineers and product managers.
• Explore new opportunities in Multimodal AI and emerging technologies.
• Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in video generation.

Qualifications and Experience

Candidates should hold a PhD in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Linguistics or a related field with relevant experience or a Masters/Bachelor’s with extended industry experience. A strong publication record, extensive experience in image generation, computer vision, deep learning, and proven leadership in R&D projects is essential.

Role-specific salary range for US positions is from $120,100 to $251,600 per year, with bonus and equity opportunities.
