Overview

The Nurse Informatics Executive supports VA’s Federal EHR deployment and advances clinical informatics initiatives to enhance care delivery and patient outcomes. This role requires deep expertise in clinical care, health informatics, executive leadership, and change management to drive organizational transformation.

Key Responsibilities

Collaborate with stakeholders at multiple levels including clinical end users and leadership at VAMC, VISN, and national levels. Align organizational goals, foster cross-functional collaboration, and ensure successful EHR implementation.

  • Drive end-user adoption and resolve implementation challenges.
  • Optimize workflows using data-driven solutions.
  • Leverage clinical data analytics for evidence-based decision making.
  • Translate complex technical ideas into actionable recommendations.

Qualifications and Requirements

Over 10 years of related work experience, including clinical and health informatics experience, proven leadership in change management, and excellent communication skills are essential. Experience with Oracle Health (Cerner) EHR is strongly preferred. Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States, be U.S. citizens, and obtain the necessary government security clearance. Willingness to travel up to 80% is required.
