Job Description

As a Network/Telecom Systems Analyst at Oracle, you will be responsible for maintaining and monitoring records of equipment failure, liaising with engineers and suppliers as necessary, and recommending or implementing changes to procedures and practices. This role involves escalating client problems according to established procedures, while exercising independent judgment. You will manage the network using advanced network management tools, analyze network performance, and recommend or implement network enhancements to ensure adequate bandwidth for business needs.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and monitor records of equipment failure, coordinating with engineers and suppliers to recommend and implement procedural changes.
  • Escalate client problems judiciously, adhering to established procedures.
  • Manage the network effectively using management tools, analyzing performance, and implementing enhancements.
  • Analyze network performance to ensure optimal bandwidth for all business requirements.
  • Collaborate with global network and development teams to recommend infrastructure enhancements and improve proactive network management tools.
  • Troubleshoot complex network problems across campus, remote locations, and the Irish wide area network with independent judgment.
  • Perform comprehensive Project Engineering, including specification definition, solution design compliant with corporate standards, implementation, and production testing.
  • Respond to monitor alarms promptly, identifying root causes of outages and coordinating timely corrective actions.
  • Provide technical and product leadership to management, actively contributing to Global IT policy development.
  • Offer on-call support services as needed, leading others through complex technical situations.
