Job Description: Member of Technical Staff
At Oracle, we are dedicated to building a premier health data platform with intelligent services, addressing numerous interesting technical challenges. As a Member of Technical Staff on this team, your work will significantly accelerate several architectural efforts, including increasing data processing by orders of magnitude, decreasing end-to-end latency, and enabling the creation of comprehensive patient health records scalable to entire nations. You will also contribute to creating a massive health data lake to power a host of intelligent health services. Given the mission-critical nature of healthcare applications, our systems adhere to the highest standards of availability and disaster recovery. We leverage the strengths of Oracle Cloud and build software utilizing OCI services.
We are seeking a skilled and ambitious engineer to help build and maintain high-scale, cloud-based data processing systems capable of handling immense data volumes with low latency. This Member of Technical Staff role involves supporting critical data ingestion systems, strengthening, and maintaining data processing pipelines that feed essential health applications. You will be responsible for implementing, testing, optimizing, and delivering software for our customers, as well as providing ongoing production support.
Qualifications
A Bachelor's Degree is required. Candidates should possess hands-on experience writing code with modern procedural programming languages such as Java, C#, C/C++, or Ruby. Familiarity with distributed systems is essential, along with experience in production operations and best practices for releasing quality software and troubleshooting issues. Effective communication of technical ideas, both verbally and in writing (including technical proposals, design specs, architecture diagrams, and presentations), is crucial. The ability to collaborate effectively with team members and other stakeholders is also key. Production experience with high-volume data applications is preferred. A minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience is expected.
