Integrated Technologies Consultant II, Healthcare Device Integration
Come be a part of the Oracle Health CareAware Device Integration team and aid our clients integrate various medical devices for seamless exchange of data from device to patient chart.
About the Team
The CareAware Device Integration team is comprised of four main products including Bedside Medical Device Integration (BMDI), Laboratory Medical Device Integration (LMDI), Mobile Vitals Collection (MVC), and Infusion Suite.
The Role
As an Integrated Technologies Consultant II, you will be responsible for providing consulting implementation services to clients throughout North America for our medical device connectivity products. These services include the integrated technology deployments of hardware, software, and clinical workflow consulting. As a member of the CareAware Device Integration team, you will be focused on collaboratively guiding clients with net new, add-on, and optimization deployment of integrated devices in various clinical settings. This includes integration of lab analyzers, anesthesia systems, patient monitoring, respiratory ventilators, and infusions pumps. You will support clients through regular project events, testing calls, status meetings, and conversion support. You will contribute to implementation best practices, troubleshoot device integration, assess risk, and mitigate findings throughout client engagements in partnership with engagement management.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform onsite and remote implementation of CareAware Device Integration products
- Facilitate technical discovery and provide technical expertise based on the client specific environment
- Conduct technical training with appropriate client resources such as Clinical Informatics, IT, Lab Analysts, and Biomed, onsite or remotely
- Adhere and contribute to established processes, methodologies, best practices for technical implementation, and documentation
- Advise on Device Integration deployment strategies, including interdependencies and design impacts
- Engage in client support outside of standard business hours as needed
- Establish client relationships and maintain a high level of client satisfaction
- Manage effective client communication and planning across multi-product deployments
- Manage multiple work assignments to meet utilization targets
- Effectively maintain knowledge of CareAware Device Integration products and services
- Escalate issues to engineering and support management as appropriate
- Provide coaching and guidance to internal stakeholders in areas of product experience
Qualifications
Basic Qualifications:
- At least 6 total years of combined higher education and related work experience implementing software products in healthcare/technology environments.
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Healthcare Business or Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field of study or relevant, equivalent work experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with medical devices such as anesthesia carts, physiological monitors, ventilators, infusion pumps, and/or laboratory analyzers
- Understanding of clinical workflows in areas of healthcare facilities such as ED, ICU, Med Surg, Laboratory, and Perioperative units
- 1 year of technical troubleshooting and problem solving
- 1 year experience of Linux platform knowledge or other related technologies
- 1 year experience of SQL, relational databases, or other query-based languages
- 1 year experience with application of basic networking principles (DNS, TCP Connections)
- Knowledge of CareAware architecture
- Strong oral and written communication skills, including a high level of comfort interacting with internal and external stakeholders up to mid-level management
Expectations:
- Willing to travel up to 80% as needed, typically Monday through Thursday
- Willing to work additional or irregular hours as needed and allowed by local regulations
- Work in accordance with corporate and organizational security policies and procedures, understand personal role in safeguarding corporate and client assets, and take appropriate action to prevent and report any compromises of security within scope of position
