About the Role: Instructional Designer and Developer at Oracle
Join a high-impact Agile team at Oracle, supporting one of the nation’s largest electronic healthcare modernization programs. The Instructional Designer and Developer position focuses on the design, development, and maintenance of training materials and learning solutions, driving workflow adoption across multiple delivery modalities for a major Federal electronic healthcare initiative.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop learning assets including, but not limited to, assessments, job aids, performance support, eLearning, ILT/vILT materials, and webinars.
- Create and maintain training content and respective source materials (e.g., Patient Data Profiles) using provided designs, templates, and requirements.
- Apply foundational instructional design and adult learning principles.
- Iterate and maintain training/learning products, employing subject matter expertise, and applying evaluation data and stakeholder feedback.
- Ensure learning assets meet Section 508 requirements and quality standards.
- Support virtual training events and site-based deployments.
- Work within Agile project environments.
- Employ AI to support increased efficiency in learning content design and development.
- Build and manage effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders and SMEs to align learning solutions with project and client goals.
Required Skills
- Foundational level of instructional design (e.g., ADDIE/SAM) and development across multiple training/instructional delivery modalities.
- Basic application of adult learning principles.
- Basic application of learning theories (i.e., Bloom’s, Gagné, Mayer’s).
- Clear instructional and technical writing.
- Foundational level designing and developing Section 508 compliant learning assets.
- Collaboration and task execution in Agile team-based environments.
- Basic use of AI tools for learning design and development.
- Basic experience with Articulate Storyline, SharePoint, JIRA, and Confluence.
- Basic stakeholder and SME engagement and management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- At least 2 years of combined related work experience and completed higher education, including: instructional design, adult learning principles, Section 508, supporting learning solution programs, preferably for health care information technology (HCIT) with a major healthcare organization or large-scale IT transformation project.
- Must be U.S. citizen and be able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
- Can travel to customer sites, if required.
