About the role
Federal Project Manager III - Oracle Health (EHR General Readiness)
Overview:
The Federal Project Manager is responsible for site-specific Pre and Post Go-Live Transition Readiness project plan management; completing deliverable status reports to the client and internal teams; coordinating activities and ownership with client counterparts; executing Transition Readiness Methodology to ensure local informatics readiness to assume ownership of EHR support; advising the client on expectations in a consultative role; and managing client communication. This role requires 80% travel.
Roles And Responsibilities
- Manage all communication and relationships between the site and the Oracle Health Readiness Team.
- Manage the site-specific project plan and timeline, driving local site Informatics to success in preparing them for their roles Post Go-Live.
- Present content and drive execution of the Readiness Support Methodology at a local level.
- Own coordination of the Event Driven methodology with internal and external stakeholders for specified site(s).
- Work closely with internal Engagement Management Team on Deployment schedules and events.
- Coordinate and manage all site call and event execution.
- Responsible for tracking the timeline for IMS Updates to the VISN PM.
- Responsible for tracking the timeline of PGL events for the MPR to report back to VISN PM.
- Responsible for tracking and management of the Readiness Checklist.
- Participate in internal scrums with Site Readiness counterparts.
- Manage all site-specific risks and report back through internal Site Readiness scrums.
Recommended Qualifications For Project Manager
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, nursing, health informatics, business, or a related field (required).
- Master’s degree in health informatics, public health, business administration (MBA), or project management (preferred).
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare IT, clinical informatics, or EHR implementation/project management (required).
- Experience managing EHR transitions or post-go-live optimization efforts (strongly preferred).
- Prior experience working in a hospital, healthcare system, or VA environment (preferred).
- Hands-on experience with Oracle Health/Cerner solutions, including design, build, implementation, troubleshooting, and optimization (required).
Certifications (Preferred But Not Required)
- PMP (Project Management Professional) – if responsible for large-scale project planning.
- Certified Professional in Healthcare Information and Management Systems (CPHIMS) – validates informatics expertise.
- Lean Six Sigma (Green Belt or higher) – if involved in process improvement.
- Change Management Certification (e.g., Prosci) – beneficial for driving EHR adoption.

US: Hiring Range in USD from: $79,100 - $158,200 per year. May be eligible for bonus and equity.
Oracle maintains broad salary ranges for its roles in order to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions and locations, as well as reflect Oracle's differing products, industries and lines of business.
Candidates are typically placed into the range based on the preceding factors as well as internal peer equity.
