About the Data Centre Technician Role
Are you an experienced Data Centre Technician with a background in racking & stacking to deployment & decommissioning – and everything in between? Join Oracle to work on critical projects as the technical liaison between technology teams and the Data Centre Environment.
Responsibilities
The role involves:
- Reviewing and actioning incoming tickets based on severity.
- Participating in installation, monitoring, maintenance, support, and optimisation of production server hardware and software.
- Providing escalated second-level technical support for complex issues.
- Communicating confidently with all stakeholders and maintaining strong adherence to processes.
- Working on a rotating shift basis, including on-call duties.
- Utilizing a background in Linux and understanding the Data Centre Ecosystem including cooling, electrical, networking, and structured cabling.
- Documenting technologies supported and improving processes via automation.
Qualifications & Requirements
Applicants must be an Australian citizen and either hold NV1 clearance or be eligible for vetting. A background in Linux and knowledge of the Data Centre Ecosystem are essential.
