Overview
Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) is seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to support 24/7 data center operations. You will work in a multi-tenant cloud environment that supports world-class cloud services.
What You'll Be Doing
- Install and configure hardware including enterprise servers and cabling infrastructure.
- Perform hardware break/fix, rack installation, cabling, power up and handoff tasks.
- Troubleshoot and resolve Telco connectivity, network switches, and IT equipment issues.
- Communicate via ticketing systems with multiple internal teams.
- Document activities, update SOPs, and manage asset inventory.
- Participate in local projects and on-call shifts for critical events.
Requirements
- Knowledge of server, storage, and network hardware.
- Strong IT hardware concepts (RAID, SAN, Linux/Unix, GRUB).
- 3+ years in an IT environment with experience in hardware troubleshooting.
- Experience with structured cabling, inventory management, and on-call responsibilities.
Preferred Qualifications
- 2-year or 4-year degree or equivalent experience.
- Experience in structured cabling, fiber/copper testing, and datacenter cooling and electrical systems.

This role involves shift work (4 days a week, 10-hour shifts including weekends and holidays) and adherence to service level agreements.
