Job Description

Data Center Operations Site Manager

As a Data Center Operations (DCO) Site Manager, you will report to a Regional Manager and act as the technical owner of one or more data center sites. You will be the key interface between infrastructure, engineering, and operational teams, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient day-to-day operations.

This role has a strong focus on core data center infrastructure (power, cooling, space, and cabling). You will be responsible for troubleshooting infrastructure issues, monitor site health, and all other day-to-day operational tasks. You will need a deep understanding of your sites—from single-line diagrams to cooling and electrical systems—and continuously look for ways to improve reliability and operational excellence.

You will work closely with internal teams, vendors, and colocation partners, contribute to documentation and standards, and support small to mid-scale projects and expansions. We are looking for someone who can add significant value based on existing experience whilst evolving their career upstream into Cloud Services.

This is an individual contributor role, with matrix collaboration across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

  • Day-to-day operations of assigned data center sites
  • Perform power and mechanical capacity audits and overseeing changes
  • Work with internal teams on incident troubleshooting, Root Cause Analysis, and Corrective Actions
  • Interface with colocation partners to understand site design and resolve issues
  • Plan and manage rack deliveries and installations
  • Support data center expansions and build activities
  • Maintain accurate documentation and follow operational procedures
  • Monitor site health using internal tools and on-site inspections
  • Participate in operational reviews to improve reliability and availability
  • Contribute to standards, best practices, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Act as a trusted technical reference for infrastructure topics
  • Share lessons learned and best practices across regions
  • Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements

Candidate can expect:

  • A stable, professional environment with strong learning and growth opportunities
  • Exposure to large-scale, mission-critical infrastructure supporting global cloud services
  • Ownership and responsibility with the support of experienced teams
  • A collaborative, international working culture
  • Competitive compensation and benefits

Preferably the candidate meets the below criteria:

  • 5+ years of experience in data center operations, hosting, or critical infrastructure
  • Solid understanding of data center fundamentals (power, cooling, cabling, networking basics)
  • Experience working with vendors or colocation partners
  • Comfortable working in live production environments
  • Fluent English (written and spoken)
  • Strong ownership, and desire to learn
  • Engineering or technical education is a plus
