Data Center Low Voltage Engineer III
Oracle is seeking a Data Center Low Voltage Engineer III to join their dynamic team. This role is crucial for the deployment and implementation of physical plant cabling systems and infrastructure within Oracle's data centers. You will collaborate with Program Management teams to ensure timely project deliverables and begin working with vendors on data center infrastructure build-outs.
Key Responsibilities
Data Center Design & Implementation-Cabling Infrastructure:
- Contribute to the design of structured cabling solutions for new data center builds and expansions.
- Deploy physical plant cabling systems as instructed.
- Adhere to global data center cabling and infrastructure standards.
- Troubleshoot standard and non-standard cabling infrastructure connectivity issues, including patch panels and patch cords.
Data Center Design & Implementation-Implementation & Continuous Improvement:
- Implement infrastructure for Oracle data centers.
- Deliver sustainable and repeatable solutions to support continuous improvement of data centers.
Project Management-Project Planning:
- Understand project scope by reviewing the Bill of Materials and available resources.
- Review the project roadmap to align with scope and business needs.
- Prioritize customer experience in project planning and delivery.
Project Management-Reporting & Documentation:
- Build relationships with Program Management teams to support timely completion of project deliverables.
- Report and document project updates to inform team leads of status and roadblocks.
- Maintain documentation on cabling and build standards for data center infrastructure.
Vendor Management:
- Collaborate with vendors to deliver build-out of data center infrastructure.
- Develop and maintain collaborative relationships with internal project stakeholders.
