- Establish and enforce data governance frameworks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organizational best practices.
- Define and implement data quality, data lineage, and metadata management processes.
- Collaborate with data engineers on architectural standards, development, and deployment of scalable data pipelines.
- Partner with business teams to understand data requirements, industry-specific use cases, and to identify and prioritize new data sources for Oracle Industry Applications.
- Evaluate and refine platform performance, reliability, scalability, and security.
- Champion cloud-first and cloud-native architectures using OCI, AWS, and/or Azure services.
- Mentor and provide technical leadership to junior architects and engineering teams.
Qualifications
Applicants should possess a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related discipline, along with 7+ years of experience in data architecture. Proven success in designing large-scale enterprise data platforms is essential, coupled with expertise in data modeling, data integration, and advanced analytics architectures. Hands-on experience implementing solutions using enterprise data storage (warehouses/lakes), data pipelines, and AI/ML integrations is required. Strong programming skills in languages like Python, Kafka, Java, or Scala are necessary, alongside experience with distributed data processing technologies such as Spark, Databricks, or Apache Beam. Deep knowledge of cloud data ecosystems on AWS, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), and/or Azure, including familiarity with their native data and AI/ML services, is mandatory. Experience implementing medallion architecture (Bronze/Silver/Gold layer concepts) for structured, scalable, and high-quality data management is also highly valued. A strong understanding of data governance, quality, security, and compliance best practices is expected, with experience in regulated industries being a plus. Proficiency with industry-standard tools for data modeling, ETL/ELT, data cataloging, and metadata management is important. Excellent communication skills, including the ability to translate business requirements into technical deliverables and mentor technical teams, are crucial, as is experience collaborating in cross-functional and global environments.
