The Team
Business Controls is part of the North America (NA) Operations Organization supporting over 10K employees. We are responsible for overseeing compliance with Oracle policies and North America strategic alignment for account, territory, and compensation execution.
The Role
The Data Analyst Intern role will primarily support Compensation related review, analysis, and approval responsibilities in alignment with Oracle Compensation policies and NA’s GTM structure, working with Regional and Global Operations personnel.
Job duties are varied and complex utilizing independent judgment. May have project lead role as required. Attention to detail critical. Ability to collect, organize, and display data in spreadsheet format. Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with a variety of internal stakeholders necessary.
We are seeking an individual who has a proven track record in a fast-paced environment, is an independent self-starter that enjoys research and problem solving and works well in a remote team environment.
What You’ll Experience
You’ll be working with an experienced team who will help with the skills needed to support the North America team in terms of Compensation review and analysis. This role will develop both an operational skillset as well as a basic understanding of compensation across various roles within Oracle. It will also offer unique insight into the organization and develop relationships across Business Operations, our global compensation partners, and our leadership team.
Qualifications & Characteristics
- Pursuing bachelor's degree in a relevant field (Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Information Technology, Business Management, etc.).
- Basic understanding of Oracle’s latest product technologies, solutions, or services.
- Familiarity with machine learning technologies and Generative AI tools.
- Demonstrates good communication and project management skills.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
- Proficiency in working in a fast-paced, collaborative, and customer focused environment.
- Strong MS Excel skills.
- Fluency with standard technology, business software, and communication writing and the capacity to master new technology, as needed quickly.
- Experience with projects involving cross-functional areas.
- Experience managing confidential and sensitive communications and tasks.
- Flexible and comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamically changing, deadline-driven environment.
- Ability to handle potentially confrontational situations with patience, diplomacy, and tact.
- Detail oriented, creative problem solver.
- Consistent application of lessons learned to future projects and workload.
- Ability to produce accurate work under pressure with frequent deadlines.
- Experience with creating process documentation.

- 0 - 2 years relevant work experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform detail-oriented sales credit allocation review/audits for NA orders in alignment with mandatory deadlines.
- Act as a delegated approver on behalf of executive NA leadership on compensation related items.
- Be the subject area expert within NA on relevant compensation policies and provide guidance as required to business operations teams regarding compensation processes.
- Provide oversight on Compensation plan eligibility and execution.
- Liaise with Regional and Global Operations and Finance on issues/escalations related to compensation.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders.
- Create and maintain up-to-date process documentation in support of NA processes.
