Overview of the Customer Deal Desk Specialist Role at Oracle

The Customer Deal Desk (CDD) Specialist leads and manages the contracting process end-to-end for strategic, complex transactions that meet regional criteria requiring CDD involvement. This vital role supports Oracle’s North American sales teams, encompassing enablement, quoting, approvals, contracting, booking, and provisioning as part of the comprehensive Quote to Cash process. Reporting to the Manager, Customer Deal Desk, the Specialist provides high-quality, responsive support to sales.

Key Responsibilities

  • Creates, validates, and processes contract documentation utilizing Oracle's standard templates and options.
  • Ensures all contracts adhere to Oracle's policies and business approvals, in response to sales requests.
  • Sets the overall direction for assigned managed deals, ensuring successful execution of the contracting process.
  • Maintains consistency and compliance with Oracle's strategy, commitments, goals, policies, and procedures.
  • Facilitates and coordinates discussions among Sales and various Oracle functional stakeholders (e.g., Collections, RevRec, Finance, Legal, OFD, Business Practices, Migrations, Order Management) to resolve complex contracting and quoting scenarios.
  • Aims to meet the specific needs of assigned FBE (Facilitated Buying Experience) deals by reaching agreement on contracting terms.

  • Ability to act with a sense of urgency in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
  • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and flexible, capable of prioritizing multiple projects with short deadlines independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Proven experience leading successful direct partner and client communications.
  • Knowledge of Contracts/Contract Negotiations.
  • Demonstrated project management experience.
  • Proactive approach, strong team player, with a positive and “Can Do” attitude.
  • Results-oriented with critical problem-solving skills.
  • Proficiency in PC skills, particularly Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • BS Degree preferred.

Qualifications and Benefits

Candidates are typically placed into the range based on these factors as well as internal peer equity. This is a hybrid role, requiring work from the San Antonio, TX office at least two days a week.
