Core Banking Technical Consultant at Oracle
The Core Banking Technical Consultant will be a key contributor to the design, development, and implementation of advanced technology solutions specifically tailored for the banking sector. Leveraging a strong understanding of both intricate technical concepts and essential banking processes, this role involves close collaboration with senior engineers and product teams. The primary goal is to craft innovative solutions that significantly improve banking services and elevate the overall customer experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Application Development: Assist in the deployment and development of crucial customizations for various banking applications and core systems, including payment systems.
- Banking Process Understanding: Utilize knowledge of banking processes, such as Current & Savings accounts and Term deposits, to effectively tailor technology solutions to specific needs.
- Technical Support: Provide vital technical assistance for banking software, ensuring optimal system functionality and expertly troubleshooting issues as they arise.
- Integration: Support the seamless integration of third-party solutions and services, such as payment gateways and fraud detection tools, with the existing banking infrastructure.
- Collaboration: Work in close partnership with business analysts, product managers, and quality assurance teams to ensure all developed solutions precisely meet the business needs of the banking industry.
- Compliance & Security: Assist in rigorously ensuring that all implemented solutions adhere to documented security standards and regulatory requirements.
- Documentation & Reporting: Accurately document technical processes, developed solutions, and operational procedures for internal use and comprehensive knowledge sharing.
Skills & Qualifications
- Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
- Experience: 1-3 years of hands-on experience within the banking or financial services industry, with a clear focus on technology solutions.
- Technical Skills:
- Programming Languages: Proficiency in Java, C#, Python, SQL, or similar relevant technologies.
- Core Banking Systems: Familiarity with industry-leading Core Banking Systems suche as Flexcube, Finacle, or Temenos.
- Web Technologies: Exposure to HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for front-end development purposes.
- APIs & Integration: Familiarity with APIs and various integration techniques specific to banking systems.
- Database Management: Understanding of relational databases, particularly SQL and Oracle databases.
- Cloud Platforms: Exposure to Cloud Platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and deployment automation is a significant advantage.
- CI/CD Platforms: Exposure to CI/CD platforms such as Jenkins.
- Application Servers: Understanding of Application servers like WebLogic, Tomcat, or JBOSS.
- SQL Basics: Basic understanding of SQL for querying databases and validating data integrity.
- Project Tools: Familiarity with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, or other project management and documentation software.
- Banking Domain Knowledge: Basic understanding of fundamental banking operations including payments, lending, savings, and transaction systems.
- Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability coupled with meticulous attention to detail. Excellent communication skills and a proven ability to thrive in a team environment. Eagerness to continuously learn and adapt to emerging technologies within the financial services industry.
