Overview
Oracle is seeking a Senior Accessibility Engineer (508 SME) to ensure Section 508 compliance across an Enterprise Program Management program. The Consulting Technical Manager - Section 508 Lead will lead VPAT documentation, accessibility testing, roadmap resolutions, and compliance implementation while collaborating with engineering teams to deliver accessible products and documents. The role requires strong communication with clients to ensure their accessibility needs are fully met.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary 508 SME ensuring accessibility compliance.
- Analyze design and code, report accessibility issues, and recommend remediation solutions.
- Oversee VPAT documentation, accessibility testing and roadmap resolutions.
- Provide expert guidance, training, and mentorship on accessibility best practices.
- Collaborate in an Agile environment with multiple engineering teams.
- Ensure compliance for Microsoft Word, PPTX, Excel, PDF, and other templates.
- Communicate effectively with both Federal and Commercial Clients.
Qualifications
- 5+ years in accessibility and document compliance.
- Strong knowledge of WCAG 2.1+, WAI-ARIA, Section 508, and ADA standards.
- Experience with assistive technologies including VoiceOver, JAWS, NVDA.
- Proficient in accessibility testing tools such as aXe and ANDI.
- Strong communication skills and experience with Agile methodologies and Jira.

The role involves mentoring project teams, influencing client leadership, and supporting business development with Oracle's consulting sales team. Salary range in the US is from 97,500 to 199,500 with bonus and equity options.
