About Oracle and the Role
The Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) Compute team provides bare metal and virtual machines at scale, including CPUs and GPUs. With rapid growth in machine learning, performance and efficiency are critical.
Role Overview
As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff - OCI Compute Architecture, you will define and evolve cloud scale services using distributed microservices. You will lead the development of next generation server lifecycle management capabilities for Oracle Compute, integrating solutions across multiple compute domains.
Responsibilities
- Lead design and implementation of distributed microservices.
- Define best practices and drive cloud native development.
- Analyze business problems and propose impactful solutions.
- Develop high quality code and debug in cloud environments.
- Mentor junior engineers and influence across organizations.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate holds a BS/MS/Ph.D. in Computer Science/Engineering or related field and has 10+ years of Dev/DevOps experience on large scale distributed systems. Proficiency in Java, Linux, Cloud Data Store primitives, and experience with CI/CD tools and automation is required.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Terraform, Docker, and modern build tools.
- Knowledge in multi-tenant, virtualized infrastructure and security protocols.
