About the Role
At Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI), we build the future of the cloud for Enterprises as a diverse team of creators and inventors. As a Consulting Member of Technical Staff - OCI Cloud Storage, you will lead major projects and design critical components for our Object Storage Service, working on Paxos, IO Path availability, performance, replication, and consistency checking in a multi-tenant cloud environment.
Responsibilities
You will own the software design and development for major components and features, act as a technical leader, and mentor junior engineers. Key responsibilities include:
- Lead design and architecture for the Object Storage Service.
- Develop and troubleshoot distributed systems and storage solutions.
- Tackle complex programming challenges in Java or C++.
- Collaborate in a fast-paced agile environment.
- Ensure data and metadata consistency across systems.
Qualifications
Required qualifications include a Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science or related fields, 15+ years of experience delivering storage systems, strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms, operating systems, and distributed systems fundamentals. Cloud experience and proficiency in a major Object Oriented Programming language are essential.

Location & Work Arrangement
This position is located in Seattle, WA or Santa Clara, CA. It is an on-site role with relocation assistance available.
