Charge Services Consultant at Oracle

The Consultant role at Oracle Health focuses on supporting clients in configuring, maintaining, and optimizing charge services to ensure accurate, compliant, and timely charge capture. This individual contributor will handle charge workflows, system build/configuration, testing, and issue resolution, collaborating with clinical, revenue cycle, and technical teams. The ideal candidate can operate independently with customer accounts, providing quality work aligned with Oracle methodologies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Configure and support charge-related solutions, including charge capture workflows, charge masters, charge description data, mappings, and rules, adhering to client requirements and Oracle Health best practices.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of Millennium Charge Services and other solution integrations.
• Partner with client stakeholders across Revenue Cycle, HIM, Patient Financial Services, and clinical departments to gather requirements and translate them into system build and comprehensive documentation.
• Analyze and troubleshoot a range of charge issues such such as missing/duplicate charges, incorrect routing, pricing/quantity/unit discrepancies, and interface or mapping defects, coordinating resolutions with appropriate teams.
• Execute and document unit and integrated testing; assist in developing test scripts and validating expected outcomes.
• Support implementations, upgrades, and change requests, which includes conducting release impact assessments, regression testing, and ensuring post-go-live stabilization.
• Monitor charge workflows and key performance indicators; recommend improvements to minimize charging errors, enhance automation, and strengthen charge reconciliation processes.
• Create and maintain essential project documents and history, including design collection workbooks, workflow diagrams, and end-user/job aids.
• Provide client-facing consulting, facilitate productive working sessions, and ensure effective knowledge transfer to operational teams.
• Ensure all work complies with security, privacy, and regulatory expectations, including least privilege principles, PHI handling standards, and auditability requirements.
• Work independently on well-defined problems and configuration tasks, escalating complex issues when necessary.
