About the role
Asset Manager Data Center Facilities
This position will be full-time on-site at Oracle's new Michigan AI data center, located in Saline Township, 35 miles southwest of Ann Arbor, Michigan. Relocation assistance may be available in accordance with Oracle’s relocation policies.
As Data Center Facilities Asset Manager, you will support the governance, accuracy, lifecycle visibility, and operational readiness of site and facility-related assets across OCI’s mission-critical data center environments. This role is responsible for maintaining strong asset records, supporting inventory and ownership controls, coordinating asset-related workflows, and helping ensure site teams have clear visibility into asset status, serviceability, and replacement needs.
You will work closely with logistics, facilities operations, compliance, procurement, finance, and site leadership to help manage assets throughout their lifecycle—from receipt and deployment through tracking, maintenance coordination, relocation, and disposition. This role is highly cross-functional and requires strong attention to detail, process discipline, and the ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, high-availability environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate asset records for site-support, facility, and operational assets across assigned sites or regions.
- Support asset lifecycle activities including intake, tagging, deployment tracking, transfer coordination, service status updates, and disposition documentation.
- Ensure asset data remains current, complete, and aligned across inventory systems, site records, and operational documentation.
- Partner with logistics, procurement, facilities teams, and site leadership to support receiving, inventory control, asset assignments, and location accuracy.
- Track asset ownership, status, condition, and serviceability to improve operational visibility and support planning decisions.
- Help coordinate physical audits, cycle counts, reconciliations, and documentation reviews to maintain strong asset governance and audit readiness.
- Support asset-related reporting, including inventory accuracy, aging, disposition status, replacement visibility, and record completeness.
- Identify record discrepancies, control gaps, or process inefficiencies and help drive corrective actions and process improvements.
- Support compliance and documentation requirements related to asset handling, transfers, chain of custody, and disposal where applicable.
- Partner with internal stakeholders to ensure asset records support maintenance planning, operational readiness, financial accountability, and site support functions.
- Maintain organized documentation and reporting related to asset movement, inventory controls, audits, and lifecycle events.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in asset management, inventory control, logistics, facilities support, operations coordination, or related administrative/operational roles.
- Experience working with asset databases, inventory systems, procurement tools, ticketing platforms, CMMS, or similar tracking systems.
- Experience supporting record accuracy, reconciliation, inventory control, or documentation management in an operational environment.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, structured environment with multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.
- Data center, industrial, logistics, facilities, telecom, or other operational environment experience is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations, Facilities, Finance, or related field preferred; equivalent experience also valued.

- APICS, inventory control, supply chain, or asset-management-related coursework/certification is a plus.
Physical Demands / Work Environment
This is an on-site role supporting a mission-critical data center environment where regular attendance, responsiveness, and execution discipline are essential. To perform these duties, you must be able to frequently walk, stand, bend, lift, carry, push/pull objects, and move throughout an operational campus environment. You may be required to assist with asset verification, inventory checks, tagging, storage coordination, and movement of materials or equipment. These tasks are performed in a professional and industrial setting and must be executed safely, with or without reasonable accommodation, to support the ongoing health and readiness of site operations.
