What You’ll Do as an Advanced Degree Software Engineer Intern

You will apply your expertise in software development to manage tasks related to developing, debugging, and designing enterprise-class software applications. Working within a highly successful product development team using an agile, iterative process, you will support, debug, and provide solutions, engage in programs to analyze root causes of issues, and recommend and evolve suitable solution approaches in a time-sensitive manner.

This role is ideal for those passionate about solving enterprise-grade cloud services problems and who firmly believe in tackling sophisticated challenges through coding. Our product code spans all layers of complex multi-tier distributed environments.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Must be enrolled in a Master's degree program in Computer Science or an equivalent science/engineering field during the 2025-2026 school year.
  • Must be enrolled in a university prior to and following internship completion.
  • Able to obtain work authorization in the US in 2026.
  • Reside in the United States and/or attend a university in the US. Visa sponsorship is not available for this role (e.g., H-1B, TN, O-1, green card, F-1 e.g. EAD, OPT, CPT, I-20, F-1 visa stamp, etc.).
  • Proficient (able to complete coding projects with no assistance) in Java.
  • Proficient (able to complete coding projects with no assistance) in one or more of these additional programming languages: Python, JavaScript, CSS, HTML, SQL, Scala.
  • Demonstrated experience (projects, internships, coursework, research) with one or more of the following: Android and/or iOS mobile application development, Unix and/or Linux Operating Systems, Big Data tools/frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hive, Hadoop, MapReduce, Kafka).
  • Completed coursework, projects, internships, and/or research in 3 or more of the following: Algorithms and Data Structures, Artificial Intelligence, Big Data, Database, Machine Learning, Object-Oriented Programming, Operating Systems, Software Programming, Web Development, Micro-Services Architecture, Container Architectures (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes), User Interface Design.
  • Experience with XML, JSON, Node.js, JavaScript, REST APIs.
  • Completed at least one internship, research assistantship, teaching assistantship, or equivalent practical experience working with relevant technical areas.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA.

The hiring range in USD for this role is from $19.62 - $53.00 per hour, or $40,800 - $110,240 per year. Salary placement varies based on knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and location.
