Job Description

Advanced Degree Data Scientist at Oracle

This full-time conversion requisition is exclusively for 2025 Oracle Product Development interns seeking full-time roles. This position is intended for students graduating with their Master's or PhD degree by, or who have graduated within, 12 months of the cohort start date in June/July 2026. The target start date is early-June or mid-July 2026.

As an Advanced Degree Data Scientist, you will design, develop, and program methods, processes, and systems to consolidate and analyze unstructured, diverse “big data” sources. Your goal will be to generate actionable insights and solutions for client services and product enhancement. You will largely complete your role independently within defined policies and procedures, with standard duties and some variation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Interact with product and service teams to identify questions and issues suitable for data analysis and experiments.
  • Develop and code software programs, algorithms, and automated processes to cleanse, integrate, and evaluate large datasets from multiple disparate sources.
  • Identify meaningful insights from large data and metadata sources.
  • Interpret and communicate insights and findings from analysis and experiments to product, service, and business managers.

Objective Minimum Qualifications (OMQs)

To be considered for this Advanced Degree Data Scientist position, you must meet the following OMQs. Please ensure your application clearly indicates that you meet these requirements:

  • Have graduated with a Graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering Management, Information Systems Management, Business Analytics, or an equivalent science/engineering field, within 12 months of the actual start date, no later than August 2026.
  • Be proficient (able to complete coding projects without any assistance) in at least one of the following programming languages: Java, C, C++, Python, SQL, JavaScript, R, PHP, Swift, Go, C#, Matlab, Julia, Kotlin.
  • Possess academic coursework, projects, internships, and/or research experience in one or more of the following Computer Science areas:
    • Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning / Natural Language Processing
    • Big Data / Data Structures / Algorithms
    • Cloud Computing
    • Computer Systems / Distributed Systems / Embedded Systems / Operating Systems
    • Database Systems/Design
    • Object Oriented Design
    • Web/Mobile Development
    • User Interface Design
  • Attend a university in the US.
  • Authorized to work in the US in 2026.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum 3.0 GPA

Compensation & Benefits (US)

The hiring range in USD is from $69,000 to $158,200 per year, and may include eligibility for bonus and equity. Oracle maintains broad salary ranges to account for variations in knowledge, skills, experience, market conditions, and locations, as well as differing products, industries, and lines of business. Candidates are typically placed into the range based on these factors and internal peer equity.
