Overview

Optus, an Australian telecommunications leader, is seeking a Complex Fraud Analyst on a 12 month fixed term contract. You will report to the Fraud Risk Operations Associate Director and work within the External Fraud Risk Team to investigate incidents of dishonesty and provide specialist analytical support.

Responsibilities

  • Investigate and analyze complex fraud scenarios to determine root causes.
  • Monitor high-risk activity across telecommunications products.
  • Utilize SQL, Teradata SQL, Oracle SQL, and relational databases for data analysis.
  • Complete Fraud Risk Assessments and lead projects as the subject matter expert.
  • Identify and address fraud issues impacting Optus and its customers.

Technical Requirements

  • Experience with MS PowerPoint, Teradata SQL, Alteryx, Python, and Tableau.
  • Strong technical background in fraud and investigation within telecommunications.
  • Proven experience interrogating multiple data sources in a fraud analysis role.
