Part Time Clinical Administrative Coordinator

Job Overview

This is a National Remote, part-time position, with shifts Monday through Friday. Employees must be flexible to work a rotating schedule:

  • Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday, & Saturday - 3:00pm - 11:30pm CST
  • Week 2: Monday, Thursday, & Friday - 3:00pm - 11:30pm CST

Occasional overtime may be required based on business needs. We provide 3 weeks of on-the-job training, with hours aligned to your schedule during this period.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Organize and maintain health information records.
  • Review electronic chart documentation for accuracy, patient information, location, and ensure no duplicate entries.
  • Process release of information (ROI) requests.
  • Manage requests for documentation and information.
  • Scan and edit documents within the electronic medical record system.
  • Locate, log, retrieve, file, and deliver medical records across various mediums and systems.
  • Distribute reports and results.
  • May train and mentor colleagues.
  • Analyze documentation and track completion to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Promote principles of health information accuracy, transparency, currency, accessibility, relevancy, and reliability.
  • Utilize Microsoft Word, Excel (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets), and Outlook (email and calendar management).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma / GED
  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • 1+ years of experience in health information management (HIM) OR 1+ years of customer service experience in healthcare or insurance industries.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel (create, edit, save documents and spreadsheets), and Microsoft Outlook (email and calendar management).
  • Ability to work the specified rotating shift hours: Week 1: Monday, Thursday, Friday, & Saturday - 3:00pm - 11:30pm CST; Week 2: Monday, Thursday, & Friday - 3:00pm - 11:30pm CST (Monday - Friday), with flexibility for occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of healthcare customer service experience.
  • RHIT or RHIA certification.
  • Experience working in a call center.
  • Clerical or administrative support background.
  • Experience in a hospital, physician's office, or medical clinic setting.

Telecommuting Requirements

  • Ability to maintain the security of all company sensitive documents.
  • Requirement for a dedicated, private work area separated from other living areas.
  • Must reside in a location with UnitedHealth Group approved high-speed internet access or utilize existing service.
  • Adherence to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy is mandatory for all remote employees.

Compensation and Benefits

Pay is determined by factors including local labor markets, education, work experience, and certifications. Benefits include a comprehensive package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contributions (eligibility requirements apply). The hourly pay for this role ranges from $17.98 - $32.12 per hour.
