About the Role

At Optum, a global leader in healthcare and fintech, the Capability Analyst role is key to advancing health optimization on a global scale. You will work remotely from anywhere within the U.S. and collaborate with cross-functional teams to scale our payment network and improve consumer health management through advanced payment solutions.

Responsibilities

• Own operations for the Healthy Savings Perks and Discounts program.
• Support and maintain the Approved Product List (APL) across retailers.
• Collaborate with the Product Team on technical and strategy design.
• Conduct data analysis and monitor metrics to identify gaps.
• Prepare and present strategies and business reviews to leadership.
• Remediate and report APL related issues on the platform.

Required Qualifications

Minimum 5 years in operations and system analysis with solid background in data/process modeling; 3+ years in consumer payments, healthcare, or related fields; 3+ years working with large data sources focusing on data manipulation and governance.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with JIRA and project management tools.
• Proficiency in analytical tools such as SQL, R/SAS, or Python.
• Working knowledge of retail SKU/UPC data and Microsoft Office products.
• Excellent communication, problem solving, and multitasking skills.
• Adherence to UnitedHealth Group's Telecommuter Policy for remote employees.
