Primary Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain advanced data pipelines and ETL processes using niche technologies.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand complex data requirements and deliver tailored solutions.
  • Ensure data quality and integrity by implementing robust data validation and monitoring processes.
  • Optimize data systems for performance, scalability, and reliability.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for data engineering processes and systems.
  • Handle multiple priorities and deadlines effectively and efficiently while ensuring meeting the desired SLAs.
  • Write complex SQL scripts for various business needs.
  • Be able to upskill and drive meaningful projects using AI.
  • Analyze code, understand its purpose, and modify it to run successfully.
  • Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing end-to-end problem resolution.
  • Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
  • Assist the team with complex query tuning and code refinement.
  • Provide support for critical production systems. Willingness to work on Shifts as per business needs.
  • Share domain and technical expertise, providing technical mentorship and cross-training to other peers and team members.
  • Analyze and investigate new and existing edits, data files, and potential enhancement requests.
  • Use pertinent data and facts to identify and solve a range of problems within the area of expertise.
  • Serve as 3rd/4th level support for production issues and escalations. Review logs, alerts, and application configurations.
  • Investigate non-standard requests and problems, with some assistance from others, using tools for specific applications.
  • Act as a liaison between support and product/development.
  • Comply with the terms and conditions of the employment contract, company policies and procedures, and any and all directives.

Required Qualifications

  • DataStage or any ETL Tool with implementation experience in large sized Data Warehouse.
  • Data Warehousing Concepts, Snowflake and Databricks hands-on experience.
  • Solid proficiency in SQL and Data Warehouse concepts along with implementation.
  • Proficiency in programming languages such as Python etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Familiarity with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and data pipeline orchestration tools (e.g. Airflow).
  • Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proven solid analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering actionable insights.
