The Role

As a Software Engineer, Product at Opto Investments, you will turn complex business problems into elegant, pragmatic engineering solutions. You will be an end-to-end owner of software projects including specification, implementation, QA testing, deployment, and operations. Technology Stack

  • AWS Lambda for asynchronous tasks

Qualifications

  • 4-year technical degree or equivalent work experience
  • 4+ years of software development experience
  • Experience with React for building rich user interfaces
  • Strong grasp of JavaScript fundamentals
  • Experience with design systems and reusable component building
  • Familiarity with frontend testing tools like Jest and Playwright
  • Interest or background in investment management
  • Comfortable with ambiguity in a fast-paced startup environment
  • Excellent communication skills under pressure
  • Must be authorized to work for any employer in the U.S.

Compensation and Benefits

The position offers a generous compensation and benefits package with a cash salary range of $160,000-$240,000, dependent on skills and experience. Benefits include significant equity, health, dental, and vision insurance, unlimited PTO, a retirement savings plan (401k), learning, fitness & commuter stipends, and paid holidays.

Location

This position is based primarily onsite in either the San Francisco or New York City office. Applicants must reside, or be willing to relocate, to an approved state in the U.S.
