Overview
The Sr. Consultant - Strategy & Risk at Optiv is a remote position open to candidates in any Canadian province except Québec. The role focuses on delivering security solutions, conducting risk and compliance assessments, and supporting client engagements through both technical expertise and consultative skills.
How You’ll Make An Impact
You will:
- Deliver independent work and lead complex projects.
- Serve as an escalation point and support delivery teams.
- Work closely with clients to define and implement security best practices.
- Conduct risk assessments, security audits, and gap analyses against frameworks such as NIST, ISO, and HIPAA.
- Assist in developing risk management frameworks and mitigation strategies.
- Provide third-party risk assessments for supply chain evaluations.
- Support design and implementation of cybersecurity policies and governance.
- Translate technical risks into business implications.
- Conduct workshops, interviews, and presentations with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with consultants and managers to support client objectives.
- Maintain clear documentation and reporting of security findings.
- Stay updated on emerging cybersecurity trends and regulatory changes.
- Contribute to thought leadership through research and presentations.
- Provide knowledge transfer and post-production support as needed.
What We’re Looking For
Candidates should have a bachelor's degree with approximately 5-7 years of relevant work experience, ideally in a consultancy role. Required certifications include CISSP, CISM, CRISC, CCSP, or similar, along with a strong understanding of cybersecurity frameworks and hands-on experience in risk management and compliance assessments. The role also demands excellent communication, analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment. A valid driver's license in the US is required, as well as a willingness to travel for client engagements.
