Role

This Vice President - Product Design & Research role leads the product design and research function at OpenTable. The role is pivotal in shaping our visual identity, defining design strategy for our marketplace and SaaS offerings, and ensuring high-quality creative output.

Responsibilities

• Craft the Vision: Define and implement a design vision that aligns with business objectives.
• Exceptional Execution: Oversee end-to-end design processes ensuring quality and consistency.
• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work with product, engineering, marketing, sales, brand, and partnership teams.
• Champion the Customer: Promote a customer-centric, data-driven approach.
• Mentorship and Management: Lead and inspire a diverse design and research team.

Requirements

Applicants should have 12+ years in product design and 5+ years in a leadership role. A strong portfolio showcasing long-term design strategy, complex UX solutions, visual design, and sound information architecture is essential. Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative data use, strong communication skills, and expertise in modern design tools are expected.

Salary & Work Environment

The salary range for this U.S.-based role is $285,000-$315,000 USD. This hybrid position requires working from the New York office two days per week with global team collaboration.
