About the Role

OpenLoop is looking for a Program Manager, Onboarding to join our team remotely or at HQ in Des Moines, IA. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring new hires are welcomed with clarity, confidence, and connection, setting the tone for their journey at OpenLoop.

This position serves as the linchpin between departments, managers, and the People team. You will coordinate logistics and content for company orientation and assist with onboarding across business units to create a consistent experience that reflects our values and operational excellence from day one.

What You Will Do

  • Own logistics and host the OpenLoop Orientation Day with structure and engagement.
  • Partner with HR, IT, and department leads for pre-boarding to day one enablement.
  • Manage orientation sessions on company values, tools, policies, and norms.
  • Design scalable onboarding processes that reduce time-to-productivity.
  • Facilitate pre-start communications and serve as a single point of contact for new hires.
  • Maintain and refine the onboarding playbook including checklists and communication touchpoints.
  • Track system access and manage provisioning, liaising with all departments.
  • Champion consistency and excellence in department-level onboarding.
  • Collaborate with the People Team to identify onboarding gaps and optimization opportunities.
  • Provide feedback reports and pulse checks to leadership and analyze onboarding data for trends.
  • Support creation of mentor programs, performance checkpoints, and engagement strategies for the first 90 days.
  • Assist with creating and updating onboarding resources and training materials.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Who You Are

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organizational Development, or related field.
  • Over 5 years experience in L&D, HR, people operations, or similar areas.
  • Experience with online learning module creation using various LMS systems.
  • Strong coordination and communication skills across functions and leadership levels.
  • Proven ability to translate data insights into process improvements.
  • Experienced project manager with a track record of on-time, impactful initiatives.
  • Tech-savvy with platforms like Loom, Rise360, Google Suite, Slack, Zoom, Notion, and basic LMS tools.
  • Creative and persistent in improving systems and workflows.
