About the Role
OpenLoop is looking for an IT Systems Engineer to join our team remotely. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and optimizing internal IT systems with a focus on identity and access management (IAM), endpoint management, and end-user support. The ideal candidate has strong hands-on experience with Okta, macOS and Windows MDM platforms (e.g., Jamf, Intune), and experience in a dynamic health-tech startup environment.
What You'll Do
- Own and maintain the company's Okta infrastructure including SSO, MFA, lifecycle management, and application integrations.
- Manage MDM platforms (Jamf, Intune, or Kandji) ensuring device compliance, security, and performance.
- Automate IT processes for onboarding, offboarding, and access provisioning.
- Collaborate with Security, HR, and Engineering to secure system configurations.
- Provide Tier 2/3 support for IT-related issues and incidents.
- Lead initiatives such as system upgrades, access reviews, and device lifecycle management.
- Participate in audits and compliance efforts (HIPAA, SOC 2) by providing documentation and evidence.
- Support SaaS administration (Google Workspace, Slack, Zoom) and license management.
Who You Are
You hold a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, or a related field with at least one year of relevant experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience. You have 3+ years of hands-on experience with Okta and MDM platforms, proven success in a health-tech startup or regulated healthcare environment, proficiency with scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell), and experience with cloud-first SaaS management. You also have strong troubleshooting skills, a customer service mindset, and familiarity with ITIL practices and ticketing systems.
