Role Overview - Sr. QA Engineer

The Sr. QA Engineer at OPENLANE will work on manual and automated testing, design test strategies, build automation frameworks, and drive continuous improvement in quality assurance processes.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, cases, and scripts.
  • Conduct functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure full test coverage.
  • Identify, document, and track defects for timely resolution.
  • Design and maintain automated testing frameworks using Selenium or Cypress.
  • Perform API testing using Postman or REST-assured.
  • Integrate QA with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins.
  • Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to code reviews.

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years QA experience; 2+ years in a senior/lead role
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • Expertise in QA methodologies and both manual and automated testing
  • Proficiency in automation tools (Selenium, Cypress) and API testing tools
  • Experience with CI/CD tools like Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI
  • Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile practices

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, LoadRunner)
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms and containerization
  • Experience with mobile testing using Appium
  • ISTQB or similar QA certification
