About The Team

The Security Products team is a new business unit on a mission to transform cybersecurity by leveraging AI to give defenders a decisive advantage. They build products addressing high-impact problems, currently protecting OpenAI's own systems.

About The Role

As a Full-Stack Software Engineer on the Security Products team, you will build core systems powering AI cybersecurity products. You will design, implement, and scale user-facing features, backend services, and integrations, collaborating with security experts, AI researchers, and engineers to incorporate advanced AI into real-world security workflows.

You’ll Be Responsible For

  • Developing, deploying, and maintaining systems and infrastructure.
  • Engaging with users to understand and solve their problems.
  • Designing systems integrating cutting-edge technologies for enhanced security.
  • Collaborating across engineering, research, and product teams.
  • Troubleshooting and optimizing systems for improved performance and security.
  • Operating with agility, creativity, and a collaborative spirit.
  • Staying updated on emerging AI technologies and security threats.

We’re Looking For Someone With

  • 5+ years of engineering experience in technology-driven companies.
  • Proficiency in JavaScript, React, and other web technologies.
  • Experience in backend programming languages such as Python or Go.
  • Familiarity with public cloud platforms like AWS or Azure and orchestration frameworks like Kubernetes.
  • Interest in security practices and AI/ML, even if direct experience is limited.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
