About The Role
As a Security Engineer, you will join OpenAI engineers and researchers in building, operating, and securing transformational AI technologies with a focus on Detection & Response. You will drive projects across AppSec, InfraSec, OffSec and Detection and Response while contributing as a strong generalist.
In This Role, You Will
- Innovate on Detection and Response infrastructure
- Build tools for managing detection rule lifecycles
- Develop, measure and tune detection rules
- Automate manual response processes
- Ensure visibility of OpenAI’s endpoint fleet
- Improve IAM, device management, and cloud usage
You Might Thrive In This Role If You
- Have experience in security or adjacent fields
- Know Microsoft Azure or other cloud platforms
- Understand modern adversary tactics and techniques
- Are proficient with scripting languages (Python, Bash, etc.)
- Collaborate well and can independently manage projects
