Within the OpenAI Security organization, our IT team ensures that researchers, engineers, and staff work securely and comfortably with minimal interruptions. As an Enterprise Security Engineer, you will work in a highly technical and employee-focused environment on a small, nimble team that builds security capabilities from the ground up.

About The Role

You will implement and manage the security of OpenAI's internal systems and processes. Collaborating closely with IT and Security teams, your responsibilities will include developing security measures, enforcing policies, and monitoring systems for potential threats.

In This Role, You Will

• Develop and implement security measures to protect company assets.
• Monitor internal and external systems for security threats.
• Enforce IT and Security policies and improve infrastructure security.
• Advise employees on endpoint, email, and network security practices.
• Deploy forward-thinking models like secure by default and zero trust.
• Identify and remediate vulnerabilities using best practices.
• Utilize AI-driven models for security detection and data classification.
• Educate staff on data security and contribute to endpoint/cloud roadmaps.

You Might Thrive In This Role If You Have

• Experience protecting and managing macOS fleets.
• Expertise with endpoint security solutions and EDR tools.
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms like AWS and Azure.
• Knowledge of identity and access management frameworks.
• Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python or Bash.
• Understanding of modern adversary techniques and vulnerabilities.
